Review of Hitched! by Jessica Hart

Description:

Planning the most-talked-about wedding of the year is enough to break engineer Frith Taylor out in a cold sweat. She's used to construction sites, not wedding fairs! But estate manager George Challoner's offer of help is one that's too good to resist. George may be the rebel of the prestigious Challoner family, but his insanely good looks are giving Frith wedding fever! Charm personified, he's making her feel things she hasn't dared feel before. Maybe her little sister's wedding won't be the only one Frith's planning...?

Review:

This was a pretty fun, flirty and cute read.  I love ready a book before bed that is pleasant and easy to read.  This book was exactly that.

Frith is an interesting character.  She seems so frazzled all the time.  Then there is George and he always seems so calm,  easy going and laid back.  It drives Frith nuts and she keeps refusing his advances.

Then her sister enters the scene and she is a huge celebrity, the exact opposite of Frith.  Regardless, Frith is the closest thing to a female figure in her life that she would never let her sister down, even if it means she has to be part of her wedding.

Things get more complicated when George offers to organize the ball they were going to throw for her sister at the mansion Frith lives on the grounds of.  The Lord of the manor is very nice and completely smitten with Frith's sister even though she's getting married to a rock star.

During Frith's time with George, she realizes that he might not be as bad as he seems.  One night pride gets the better of them and the make a deal.  What they didn't know, was that this deal would affect their lives in ways they never imagined.

I enjoyed this book and would recommend it to others.  It didn't jump out and grab me, but it was pleasant none the less.  I give this story four stars for being an easy read.

  1. HOW did you get this book? Jeez! I want to read this so bad now. I really love quick reads before bed too! It sounds like contemporary, maybe a bit of chick-lit? Adding to my to-be-read list. It sounds like that movie - 27 Dresses. Thanks for the review!
