Review of Bound by J.M. Chalker

Everything happens for a reason... or does it ?
High school is hard enough without having to start all over, but that's exactly what sixteen years old twins Olivia and Haydon are forced to do.
Not only are their relatives basically strangers--but the small town of Jasper Crane is anything but normal or welcoming. Soon they discover things may not be what they seem.
Supernatural powers start making themselves known in both twins, forcing them to reconcile with the idea that coincidences are rare, and they may be in Jasper Crane for a reason, one that could have dire consequences.

Review:

This book had me very intrigued. The author does a great job of building the characters of twins Olivia and Haydon. I enjoyed the birthday party that started the book off with a bang.

I was a little sad that they had to move after getting to know the characters in their hometown. It was worse with Olivia just getting together with her new boyfriend.

The town of Jasper Crane is strange, and as the story unfolds, it's with good reason. I liked the dynamic the twins had with their long lost family. It kept things interesting.

I also enjoyed how the author introduced all of the main characters as she built the storyline. There were some really surprising twists that I wasn't expecting. The plot was original and this first book set up the book for future one's in the series, yet was awesome all on it's own.

Now that I was left with such a cliffhanger, I can't wait until the author puts out a sequel!!! This book gets four glittery stars for being a great start to an intriguing series!
